The story of Isaac and Rebekah is one that movies are made of. Was it her profound faith in God that led her to say yes to Isaac's servant or was it a wild notion of romance? Maybe it was both. As the story unfolded I found it very difficult that a mother would favor one child over another, especially twins. Nonetheless, Rebekah did favor Jacob and in turn her deceit and trickery caused her to never lay eyes on him again. To me, this story sends a message loud and clear that greed and dishonesty will cause you nothing but misery.
